My wife and I are from Sydney, Australia, and we had a wonderful three-week journey around Sri Lanka with Rangana, who was our tour organiser, guide and driver.
We travelled with Rangana from Colombo to Negombo, Chilaw, Wilpattu, Madhu, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Minneriya, Kataragama, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and many other places along the way.
From the very beginning, Rangana meticulously prepared our itinerary in close consultation with us. He organised all our hotel accommodations and travel arrangements, picked us up from the airport on the day we arrived and dropped us back at the airport on the day we departed Sri Lanka. Everything was planned and organised exceptionally well.
Rangana was an exceptional tour guide. We found him to be honest, courteous, friendly, punctual and highly experienced. He drove us throughout the entire tour in a clean and comfortable car and was always patient and accommodating. His knowledge of Sri Lanka, its history, culture and the many places we visited was beyond our expectations.
He organised beautiful and comfortable stays in different locations, guided us through the many attractions, helped us with shopping, and introduced us to wonderful Sri Lankan food and local experiences. As Sri Lankan expatriates who had not visited the country for more than 37 years, we were amazed by how much we learnt about our own country—many things we had never known before.
From arranging our accommodation and airport transfers to taking us around Sri Lanka and showing us so many wonderful places, Rangana made our entire trip much easier, enjoyable and truly memorable.
But more than being our driver and guide, Rangana has become a good and trusted friend to us. We sincerely appreciate his kindness, patience, honesty and the genuine care he showed us throughout our journey. We always felt safe, comfortable and well looked after, and that meant a great deal to us.
It was a real pleasure spending the last three weeks with Rangana. We will certainly remember the many wonderful places we visited, as well as the good times, conversations and laughs we shared along the way.
We both sincerely thank you, Rangana, for everything you have done for us. We wish you good health, happiness and every success in the future.
Thank you once again for looking after us so well. We came to Sri Lanka as visitors, but we are leaving with a trusted friend. ❤️🙏
